How does Neighbourhood Watch work?

Neighbourhood Watch in Cheshire is part of the national Neighbourhood Watch Network (NWN). The NWN was established as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation regulated by the Charity Commission in 2017. The NWN is part funded by the Home Office and fosters partnerships with a range of statutory, voluntary and corporate partners with complementary values and activities. These are: 

• HM Government Home Office
• National police – National Police Chiefs Council, the College of Policing and the Association of Police & Crime Commissioners
• National Trading Standards Scams Team
• Crimestoppers
• Avast
• Co-op Insurance
• ERA
• Patlock

The CNWA draws upon the partnerships established by the NWN but is also able to establish independent partnerships to work collaboratively with organisations locally in Cheshire to further our objectives. We already work closely with Cheshire Police, the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire and local authorities. We actively seek mutually beneficial partnerships with organisations that can help make communities in Cheshire safer and more vibrant and active places to live.
